Local Company Win Top Awards

MBufton Plumbing and Heating based in Newtown have recently been presented with the prestigious National OFTEC Gold Awards for Excellence in the categories of Oil Tank and Oil Boiler Installer of the Year.

Mark Bufton, Managing Director of MBufton Plumbing and Heating accepted the awards on behalf of Garry Fox, their senior employee.

Mark said “ Gary has been one with us for some time now and epitomizes what we have achieved and continue to strive toward, we were very proud to receive one gold award but two makes all the hard work worthwhile”.

“Since starting 18 years ago”, Mark added, “We have always tried to establish a reputation for an efficient and reliable service. These awards are great but it is how our customers see us which is really important, the fact we continue to grow is a testament to how they must feel”.

We have a 500 hundred old listed building and required a new heating system to accommodate a house of this age. We required a system that could accommodate our timber off the farm for a 20k wood burner, an existing oil Aga and a new boiler as a back up to the main 2 systems thus 3 different systems all feeding into one Thermal Store. This needed plumbing engineers as the pipe work and technology was complicated.

Mark Bufton Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd were contracted and have completed the contract to the highest standard we could have wished for, from beginning to end without leaving the job for one day. Their advice initially in which systems to install, copper pipe configuration for an old house, keeping to a minimum the amount of copper visible and their engineers were efficient, clean and tidy and a pleasure to work with.
